Flexibility increases staff loyalty

Staff turnover is a major cost for many businesses. It isn’t just the money; when people leave an organisation they can take years of valuable experience with them. This can lead to falls in productivity and customer satisfaction while new people are getting up to speed.

A recent study of business owners and executives by Regus group found that over three quarters (76%) believe flexible working improves staff retention and seven in ten (71%) consider flexibility a key measure in attracting new talent.

As the recruitment market becomes more competitive in 2014, organisations need to review their staff working arrangements if they want to attract and keep the best people.
