Ramadan: should your workplace offer flexible working?



Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar and is a time of spiritual reflection.  Throughout the month, fasting is undertaken by all practising Muslims, during the hours from sunrise until sunset.

The date moves each year dependent on astronomical calculations, and this year begins on June 17th. The effects of fasting during the day can affect people at work, reducing energy and concentration levels.
